Math & Psychology Building Entrance Closure

May 30, 2017 9:50 AM

Please be advised that the lower-level north entrance to the Math & Psychology Building will be temporarily closed due to adjacent construction activities. This closure will allow for a new exterior stair and utility connections to be built as part of the ILSB project. The entrance will close on approximately June 5th, 2017 and remain closed for a period of about 4 weeks. The entrance will re-open on approximately July 3rd, 2017.

Accessible routes to and through the Math & Psychology building will not be affected. Emergency egress from the building has been reviewed with the UMBC Fire Marshal. Posted building emergency egress plans will be updated and exit signs will be modified as necessary to reflect the temporary changes.

Beginning the week of 5/30/2017, Facilities Management will post signs alerting pedestrians of the closure and directing them around it. The signs will remain posted until the entrance reopens in July. About the same time, an additional message will be sent to all building occupants alerting them of the closure.

Please see the attached identifying the entrance location.

Please let us know should you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Facilities Management
