Since 2010 Facilities Management has been very busy.
Since the last master plan was updated the university has renovated and added these facilities:
Residential: Patapsco Hall addition, Potomac Hall renovation, elevator cores in Chesapeake and Susquehanna Halls, the renovation of Terrace, Hillside and West Hill Apartments (21 buildings), and a new Residential Community Center
Athletics and Recreation: A new ball court and recreation field for student use, a new stadium turf field, and programming/design for the Arena/Event Center will be completed by the end of 2016
Parking: A new Lot 29, new Lot 9, new Administration Building Service lot, additions to Lot 1 and Lot 3, modifications to the Administration Drive Garage, improvements to the Stadium Lot, and planning for a new Lot 28)
Roadways: Pedestrian improvements at numerous crossings of Hilltop Circle, the Campus Entrance project and capacity and aesthetic improvements to UMBC Boulevard
Academic: new Performing Arts and Humanities Building, partial renovation of the Fine Arts Building, classroom upgrades in three buildings, and programming for the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Building, which will be fully designed before the next master plan is completed
